About Career Vidya Labs

Our Vision - India a nation of highly trained and employable individuals who can create value for themselves, the enterprise and the nation.

We know that business education in India is still in nascent stages - we need to create solutions that can be scaled. The need is urgent and immense. We need to widen our talent pipeline. And Career Vidya Labs intends to do exactly that - by working together with visionary businesses and educators. We believe Solutions in India will need huge innovation and technology inputs.

The talent base of our nation is huge but raw (no thanks to many reasons including mediocrity in primary and secondary education). We are encouraged by innovation in school education, BUT also understand that the economy does not have the luxury of waiting for all changes to happen from ground up. There is a need to jump-start the Talent Pipeline and we are excited about this opportunity.

We have started by developing integrated and on-demand online and offline solutions for Talent (Individuals), Institutes & Employers (Organizations of every size and category).

Career

The word "Career" may have origins in the old French word "Carriere" (race course, road). We like to believe there is some connection to the Sanskrit words "Charita" (career) or "Karya" (occupation or work).

Vidya

The word "Veda" is from the root "Vid" (to know), making for other derivates like "Vidya" (knowledge) and "Avidya" (ignorance). The Vid root is cognate to Idea in Greek, Video in Latin, and Wit in English.
